It was
a good run.
Good times.
Great times.
I really thought
that this time I had it
covered.
This time I was
stronger.
The spears
of destiny
bounced of my shield
and I was
a God for day.
But when
the Gods fall
they land
with thunder.
She didn’t even try.
She just was.
She simply exists.
But all the armour
and all my weapons
from my vanguard
to my soul
surrendered
without
remorse.
Is it still
a fall
when you
dive
right in?
But why
dive
when you’ve
come so far?
It doesn’t matter now.
I’m still
only just
falling.
And when
I fall,
I’ll fall
with thunder.
And it will be
the most
beautiful
thing in the world.
